Toss Machine Components offers the plastic sealing industry a unique, cost effective, technique for superior sealing and joining of heat sealable materials. Perfect heat seals are made by rapidly controlling the heating and cooling while the materials are held firmly under pressure. The technology is available for a wide range of sealing and cutting applications, such as pouch closing, fitment attachment, wrapping, web splicing, and bag making in manual, automatic, form/fill/seal, wrapping, and special custom machines. Thermocouples and RTD's are avoided to eliminate the inherent errors and lag in response time. Temperature Controllers
 TOSS offers ROPEX Resistron Temperature Controllers that are the nerve center that controls the heat sealing process for a wide range of applications. The RES 400 Series are adaptable to almost any application and do not
require the use of thermocouples or RTD’s. The RES 403, 407, and 408 are designed for “in cabinet” to protect the controller from untrained personnel or environmental hazards. The RES 420, 440, and 445 are "panel mounted" with convenient controls and display.

Custom Heat Seal Jaw Bars
 Precision-machined heatseal jaw bar assemblies include jaw end blocks that assure proper heatseal band monitoring and tensioning. Made from extruded aluminum, TOSS bars are straight and true to assure uniform force and create perfect seals. Single lengths are available up to twelve feet and can be connected easily for longer applications. Water-cooling is also available.

Continuous Band Heat Sealer
 Driven by a mechanical link to the basic machine, or by servo motor, this constant heat sealing device includes a pneumatic retract to avoid overheating in the stand still condition.

Current Transformers
 The TOSS current transformer continuously monitors the current passing through the heatseal band. This, together with voltage monitoring, allows the controller to accelerate heating without overshooting. This precise control includes monitoring the cooling to determine the optimum moment to open the seal jaws and release the workpiece.

Transformers
 Power Impulse Transformers from TOSS are engineered to mate with the TOSS Controllers to deliver the optimum voltage for the intended sealing application. Electrically quiet and equipped with multi-tap terminals makes secondary voltage changes quick and easy. |
Hot Air Sealer
 Hot Air Continuous Plastic Seam Sealers are a patented new concept that can be conveniently installed on virtually any machine that requires perfect heat sealing of plastic films, either intermittent or continuous. |
Straight Heat Seal Bands
TOSS Alloy-20 Heatseal Bands are available in over 350 styles, shapes and sizes. Custom designed for any application, new or existing, TOSS Alloy-20 Heatseal Bands are longer lasting and provide for effective sealing at optimum speeds. When used in conjunction with TOSS Temperature Controllers, the Alloy-20 heatseal bands provide instant temperature feedback eliminating the need for thermocouples. This instant feedback insures precise, repeatable results on each and every cycle. |
Contoured Heat Seal Bands
TOSS Alloy-20 Heatseal Bands are also available in custom contoured shapes. Sealing and/or cutting, TOSS can fabricate your band into an infinite array of shapes to satisfy your every impulse heat sealing need. Bands can be designed with localized treatment to selectively isolate areas of the bands that will remain cool.

Power Boosters
 TOSS Controllers can be supplemented with TOSS Power Boosters to accommodate the high power needs of extra large heatseal bands or systems. Using a Power Booster, multiple bands may be connected in series or parallel to be driven by a single controller. Systems can be designed for power supplies of 115, 230, 400, or 480 VAC. |
Custom Designed Sealing Presses & Platens
TOSS can provide bench presses and platens on which to mount custom contoured heatseal bands. Optional water-cooling will produce faster operation. Bench presses come complete with control modules that include the Controllers, Transformers, and other components required for convenient control of the press operation and heating cycle. |
Heat Seal Cover Materials
 In the optimum sealing system, the heatseal band must be electrically and thermally insulated from the jaw bar. TOSS offers a wide selection of Teflon cover cloths and tapes that are available in standard and custom sizes. Other insulating materials available from TOSS include Silicone Rubber, Durit and Siglaha (silicone glass). |
Line Filters
 Line Filters minimize the risk of possible interference from power line noise. If your application needs to meet European CE ratings, a TOSS Line Filter will be required. |
