Alloy20® Band Shapes & Characteristcis

FORM DESCRIPTION APPLICATION REMARKS
Flat Band Common sealing Limited use because sharp square edges weaken the seal
Taper Band Standard sealing Strong standard seals
Reflex Band Vacuum packaging Less sealing force needed
Double Seam Band Stronger sealing Good for liquid packaging
Beaded Band Cut and seal Standard cut and seal applications
T-Profile Band Cut and seal Sharp cut and seal for medium to thick materials
Triangle Profile Cut and seal Best for thickest materials
Half Round Profile Cut and seal For cutting or sealing of thick materials
Oval Profile Pressure seal Produces a strong but narrow seal
Cutting Wire Cutting Used for rough cutting inadequate for sealing
Special Shapes Sealing Used to seal irregular or Profiles shapes or attach fitments
Endless Bands Continuous sealing Any width or length for continuous sealing operations
