Heat Seal Components
There are several configurations you may wish to use in setting up your heat sealing system. A TOSS Applications Engineer is available to provide consultation on the perfect system. It is necessary to provide a backup material behind the impulse heat seal band when it is mounted on the heat seal jaw bar or platen. It is also necessary to provide a cushion or facing on the opposite jaw bar or platen face.
The selection of the best combination of these components may require some testing to determine which combination of these elements is most effective with the material to be sealed. The impulse heat seal band must be both electrically and thermally insulated from the jaw bar. The most common materials used for this purpose are PTFE tape, SNAPLON®, Siglaha®, Polyimide and Durit®.
Controllers
TOSS Machine Components, Inc. offers a large selection of impulse heat seal temperature controllers. Within the PIREG Series are panel-mounted controllers as well as cabinet-mounted.
